Seenu

Seenu — Addu Atoll — is the southernmost part of the Maldives and the only place in the country where several islands are linked by road. A causeway runs some thirty kilometres from Hithadhoo through Maradhoo and Feydhoo to Gan, where the airport is.

That changes what a stay looks like: you can cycle between islands instead of booking a boat, which is possible nowhere else in the Maldives.

Addu also carries a different history. The British operated an airfield at Gan until 1976, and the infrastructure that left behind is still visible.
