Server logs
Our server records the usual technical data when a page is requested: IP address, time, the page requested, referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and to detect abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a functioning, secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are not merged with other data and are not used to identify individuals.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies that require consent. There is no advertising network, no cross-site tracking pixel and no social media embed that follows you.
Photographs
Photographs come from the Google Places API. They are not embedded from Google directly — our server fetches each image and serves it from this domain, so your browser makes no request to Google when you view a page. Each photograph credits its author.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links. When you follow one, the partner site may set its own cookie to attribute a later booking to us. That happens on their domain and under their privacy policy, only after you click. We record which link was clicked and when, in order to know which pages are useful — without storing anything that identifies you personally. See the affiliate disclosure.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies to you, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Write to hello@dotrockets.com.
Transfers outside the EU
The operator is based in Canada and the site runs on a server in Europe. Where personal data reaches Canada, it is covered by Canada's adequacy decision under Art. 45 GDPR.
