Huraa

Huraa lies in northern Kaafu with around sixteen hundred residents, close enough to Malé that the transfer is short and far enough that the island keeps its own rhythm.

It is one of the older guesthouse islands in the atoll and sits beside a protected mangrove area — unusual in a country where most islands are sand and reef with little in between.

The short transfer makes it a practical choice for a first local island or for a few days at the end of a trip, when a long crossing is the last thing anyone wants.
